Sacrament Service
First Speaker
“We, the First Presidency and the Council of the Twelve Apostles of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, solemnly proclaim that marriage between a man and a woman is ordained of God and that the family is central to the Creator’s plan for the eternal destiny of His children.”
...
“By divine design, fathers are to preside over their families in love and righteousness and are responsible to provide the necessities of life and protection for their families. Mothers are primarily responsible for the nurture of their children. In these sacred responsibilities, fathers and mothers are obligated to help one another as equal partners. Disability, death, or other circumstances may necessitate individual adaptation. Extended families should lend support when needed.” (The Family Proclamation)
Mosiah 4:15
15 But ye will teach them to walk in the ways of truth and soberness; ye will teach them to love one another, and to serve one another.
Next Speaker
“I believe that it should be the blessing of every child to be born into a home where that child is welcomed, nurtured, loved, and blessed with parents, a father and a mother, who live with loyalty to one another and to their children.” (President Gordon B. Hinckley, “Stand Strong against the Wiles of the World”. October 1995 General Conference)
“Husband and wife have a solemn responsibility to love and care for each other and for their children.” (The Family Proclamation)
Tell those you love, often, that you love them.
“Stresses in our lives come regardless of our circumstances. We must deal with them the best we can. But we should not let them get in the way of what is most important—and what is most important almost always involves the people around us. Often we assume that they must know how much we love them. But we should never assume; we should let them know. Wrote William Shakespeare, “They do not love that do not show their love.” We will never regret the kind words spoken or the affection shown. Rather, our regrets will come if such things are omitted from our relationships with those who mean the most to us.” (President Thomas S. Monson, “Finding Joy in the Journey”, October 2008 General Conference)
DnC 121:43
43 Reproving betimes with sharpness, when moved upon by the Holy Ghost; and then showing forth afterwards an increase of love toward him whom thou hast reproved, lest he esteem thee to be his enemy;
A lesson that one is trying to teach their children should never get in the way of them knowing you love them.

One researcher has stated that the 3 pillars of both government and religion are Doctrine, Symbols, and Rituals / Traditions. They found that families also had these pillars. They found that when any of these 3 pillars waver things are less stable.
Doctrine
Psalms 127:1
1 Except the Lord build the house, they labour in vain that build it: except the Lord keep the city, the watchman waketh but in vain.
2 Nephi 25:26
26 And we talk of Christ, we rejoice in Christ, we preach of Christ, we prophesy of Christ, and we write according to our prophecies, that our children may know to what source they may look for a remission of their sins.
Symbols
Temples
Pictures / Paintings
Rituals and Traditions
“Happiness in family life is most likely to be achieved when founded upon the teachings of the Lord Jesus Christ.” (The Family Proclamation)
Psalms 127:3
3 Lo, children are an heritage of the Lord: and the fruit of the womb is his reward.
The plan of salvation is family centered. Becoming like our Father in Heaven is family centered. When we strengthen ourselves through Christ we strengthen our family.
Sunday School
