Church Services This Week at Northridge Stake Layton Utah 1-2 November 2014

Adult Session of Stake Conference
As we progress there always seems to be some obstacle in our way that we must overcome. Satan doesn't want us to progress and tries to keep us in a veil of darkness about what the purpose of it all is.

The world likes to show us some new information or thing to confuse us about what God has previously shown us.

Being spiritually lazy places a veil over our eyes.   Not doing those simple things each day to receive revelation is being spiritually lazy.

When Jesus was crucified the veil between us and God was rent so that we can have access to God if we diligently seek him.

The president of the Salt Lake City mission and his wife spoke to us.  They are from Minnesota.

Elder Samuel W Clark of the seventy spoke to us.

"If you live up to your privileges, the angels cannot be restrained from being your associates." (History of the Church, 4:604–5; from a discourse given by Joseph Smith on Apr. 28, 1842, in Nauvoo, Illinois; reported by Eliza R. Snow; see also appendix, page 562, item 3.)
Elder Edwardo Gavarret spoke to us and showed us the video, We Are One.

We don't support the missionaries in their work. The missionaries support us in our missionary work.

General Session of Stake Conference
We got a new Stake presidency.

What will we do with the freedom we've been given in this country? What will we do with the freedom the Savior has given us?

Elder Clark spoke to us.
If we rescue the adult sheep they will bring the lambs back.

Elder Gavarret spoke to us.
Counselors are like the men that held up Moses' arms during the battle.

The Salt Lake City mission president spoke to us.
Invite non-members into your home even if there is no specific missionary event.   They will feel the spirit in your home.

3 Nephi 17:21-22
21 And when he had said these words, he wept, and the multitude bare record of it, and he took their little children, one by one, and blessed them, and prayed unto the Father for them.
22 And when he had done this he wept again;
We should teach and bless our children one by one.
