Doctrine and Covenants 6

4 Yea, whosoever will thrust in his sickle and reap, the same is called of God.

5 Therefore, if you will ask of me you shall receive; if you will knock it shall be opened unto you.

Doctrine and Covenants 42:61

61 If thou shalt ask, thou shalt receive revelation upon revelation, knowledge upon knowledge, that thou mayest know the mysteries and peaceable things—that which bringeth joy, that which bringeth life eternal.

Yoke ourselves to God and Jesus.

“You come unto Christ to be yoked with Him and with His power, so that you’re not pulling life’s load alone. You’re pulling life’s load yoked with the Savior and Redeemer of the world, and suddenly your problems, no matter how serious they are, become lighter.” (Elder Russell M. Nelson of the Quorum of the Twelve Apostles, “The Mission and Ministry of the Savior,” Ensign, June 2005, 18.)

Mosiah 2:22

22 And behold, all that he requires of you is to keep his commandments; and he has promised you that if ye would keep his commandments ye should prosper in the land; and he never doth vary from that which he hath said; therefore, if ye do keep his commandments he doth bless you and prosper you.

Sometimes it's not the words that are said but the revelation we get while reading or hearing them. Things like scriptures, patriarchal blessings, talks, etc.

1 Nephi 8:23 - The Mist Of Darkness is Temptation

23 And it came to pass that there arose a mist of darkness; yea, even an exceedingly great mist of darkness, insomuch that they who had commenced in the path did lose their way, that they wandered off and were lost.

Doctrine and Covenants 88:83

83 He that seeketh me early shall find me, and shall not be forsaken.

Genesis 1:1

1 In the beginning God created the heaven and the earth.

Moses 1:32

32 And by the word of my power, have I created them, which is mine Only Begotten Son, who is full of grace and truth.

The Old Testament has many more references to the second coming than the New Testament

"As we go forward together, I invite you to think about the majestic manner by which the Lord governs His Church. When a President of the Church passes away, there is no mystery about who is next called to serve in that capacity. There is no electioneering, no campaigning, but only the quiet workings of a divine plan of succession put in place by the Lord Himself." (President Russell M. Nelson, “As We Go Forward Together”, April 2018 General Conference)

The Old Testament is a treasure chamber that is dimly lit. We must work to find the treasures.

Isaiah 51:6

6 Lift up your eyes to the heavens, and look upon the earth beneath: for the heavens shall vanish away like smoke, and the earth shall wax old like a garment, and they that dwell therein shall die in like manner: but my salvation shall be for ever, and my righteousness shall not be abolished.

Joint EQ / RS

These are some notes I took previously on the Utah Area videos that we were discussing today:
Elder D Todd Christofferson - The role of Area Presidencies and Aligning with the Brethren

Time stamp 1:41 - 1:55 - “Each of the 22 areas is presided over by area presidency, consisting of 3 70s.  Occasionally joined by a 4th 70, as is the case with the Utah area at present.”

Time stamp - 2:21 - 2:37 - “...for day to day supervision, one member of the 12 and one or two members of the presidency of the 70 are assigned to each area.  Currently, I am assigned to oversea or be first contact in the 12 for the Utah area.”

Time stamp - 3:12 - 3:33 -

Time stamp - 3:40 - 3:55 - “The organization of the Church into areas, as I’ve been describing, is key to aligning our efforts everywhere in the world with the prophetic council of The First Presidency and Quorum of the 12”

Time stamp 3:55-4:17

Dnc 107:23

23 The twelve traveling councilors are called to be the Twelve Apostles, or special witnesses of the name of Christ in all the world—thus differing from other officers in the church in the duties of their calling.

DnC 107:25

25 The Seventy are also called to preach the gospel, and to be especial witnesses unto the Gentiles and in all the world—thus differing from other officers in the church in the duties of their calling.

Time stamp 4:25-5:02

Timestamp 5:57-6:14 - “There is obviously room for adjustment and adaptation or what the Lord calls the differences of administration.  According as the Lord will.  Suiting his mercies according to the conditions of the children of men.”

Timestamp 7:14-7:36  - “For our own efforts in the Lord’s cause to succeed in our stakes and wards and homes, it will be important to keep things as simple as possible.  Complex approaches that require excessive time and means are not sustainable.  We can’t confuse business and tasks with spiritual growth and confersion.”

President Kevin W. Pearson Area Vision: Place Christ and Scared Covenants at the Center of Our Lives

Timestamp 0:23-0:28  - “The Lord with bless you and your families for your faithfulness and consecration.”

Timestamp 0:57-1:25  - “We fully embrace the alignment with priesthood keys just taught by elder Christofferson.  And urge each of you to seek that same alignment with living prophets in your personal lives and in your leadership roles.  There is great spiritual power available to us and through us as we align our lives with the Savior and his living servants.

Timestamp 1:51-2:06  - “The Lord has blessed his saints here with extraordinary prosperity, which in turn has provided His Church with the resources and capacity to advance his work across the earth.”

Timestamp 2:16-2:34  - “As we continue to help individuals and families place the Savior and sacred covenants at the center of their lives, the Lord will continue to pour out his blessings upon his saints here in Utah and across the Earth.”

Timestamp 2:38-3:02  -

“I invite you to consider the blessings promised to covenant-keeping disciples of Jesus Christ. For example, Nephi ‘beheld the church of the Lamb of God [in the latter days], and its numbers were few, … the saints of God, were also upon all the face of the earth; and their dominions … were small.’

“He also ‘beheld the power of the Lamb of God, that it descended upon the saints of the church of the Lamb, and upon the covenant people of the Lord, … and they were armed with righteousness and with the power of God in great glory.’ (Elder David A Bednar, “With the Power of God in Great Glory”, October 2021 General Conference)

Timestamp 3:06-3:19 -

“We are bound securely to and with the Savior as we faithfully remember and do our best to live in accordance with the obligations we have accepted.” (Elder David A Bednar, “With the Power of God in Great Glory”, October 2021 General Conference)

Timestamp 3:34-4:35 -

“We invite you to align yourself with these same priorities.”

Timestamp 4:37-5:12

Timestamp 5:15:5:26

“What would unprecedented efforts look like in your life…in your family…or in your Church service?

Timestamp 6:28-6:55

Timestamp 7:06-7:13 - We simply need to stay on the covenant path and keep the Savior at the center of our lives.”

Timestamp 7:44-7:57 -

“Ours is not a religion of rationalization nor a religion of perfectionism, but a religion of redemption — redemption through Jesus Christ.” (Elder D Todd Christofferson, “The Love of God”, October 2021 General Conference)

Timestamp 8:05-8:25 - “We need to remain worthy to return often to the temple, to be reminded of these sacred covenants and blessings.  Everything we do and learn in the temple if focused on the Savior Jesus Christ.  The covenants we make in the temple bind us to Him and with Him.”

Timestamp 8:30-9:13 -

What Does aligning to the Lord mean?

When we align to the Lord, we don't try to make him conform to us.

One could think of aligning as justification. Justification is a word we use when creating documents.  It is also a word that we use to talk about being lined up with God.  This also could be thought of as unity. We all align to the lord and as a consequence we align to each other.

John 15:9–10

9 As the Father hath loved me, so have I loved you: continue ye in my love.

10 If ye keep my commandments, ye shall abide in my love; even as I have kept my Father’s commandments, and abide in his love.

Mosiah 2:41

41 And moreover, I would desire that ye should consider on the blessed and happy state of those that keep the commandments of God. For behold, they are blessed in all things, both temporal and spiritual; and if they hold out faithful to the end they are received into heaven, that thereby they may dwell with God in a state of never-ending happiness. O remember, remember that these things are true; for the Lord God hath spoken it.

Moses 1:39 - if we align with the lord we will be working towards his work and glory.

39 For behold, this is my work and my glory—to bring to pass the immortality and eternal life of man.

Next Presenter

“Ours is not a religion of rationalization nor a religion of perfectionism, but a religion of redemption — redemption through Jesus Christ.” (Elder D. Todd Christofferson, “The Love of God”, October 2021 General Conference)

Rather than turn away from the Lord's council and try to find fulfillment in other places, we should take the council and not be ashamed and angry.

God is not finished with me yet.

Don't complain about the service you give or when you are asked to increase your offering of service.

 Sacrament Meeting

First Speaker

Have deep, meaningful conversations.

Next Speaker

Helaman 5:12

12 And now, my sons, remember, remember that it is upon the rock of our Redeemer, who is Christ, the Son of God, that ye must build your foundation; that when the devil shall send forth his mighty winds, yea, his shafts in the whirlwind, yea, when all his hail and his mighty storm shall beat upon you, it shall have no power over you to drag you down to the gulf of misery and endless wo, because of the rock upon which ye are built, which is a sure foundation, a foundation whereon if men build they cannot fall.

Elders Quorum

Lesson based on the talk by Camille N. Johnson - “Invite Christ to Author Your Story”.

What kind of personal narrative are you writing for your life?

What tools did we use to become who we are? One tool could be to look at others that are doing well.

"Trials are the elements of the plot that make our favorite stories compelling, timeless, faith promoting, and worthy of telling."

Stake presidents review patriarchal blessings as they are given during their tenure.

Doctrine and Covenants 58:26-28

26 For behold, it is not meet that I should command in all things; for he that is compelled in all things, the same is a slothful and not a wise servant; wherefore he receiveth no reward.

27 Verily I say, men should be anxiously engaged in a good cause, and do many things of their own free will, and bring to pass much righteousness;

28 For the power is in them, wherein they are agents unto themselves. And inasmuch as men do good they shall in nowise lose their reward.

God knows what we will become. Does that mean that we are predestined to be that? If someone showed me as a child that I would be an engineer or a doctor or whatever, do I instantly become that thing. We still have to do the work to reach that destination.

"Because the Holy Ghost works in perfect unity with Heavenly Father and Jesus Christ, we know that the manifestations of the Holy Ghost are reliable. Why, then, are we sometimes resistant to asking for this kind of heavenly help, truth manifest to us by the Holy Ghost? Why do we put off asking a question to which we do not know the answer when the witness not only is friendly but will always tell the truth?"

Doctrine and Covenants 50:21-23

21 Therefore, why is it that ye cannot understand and know, that he that receiveth the word by the Spirit of truth receiveth it as it is preached by the Spirit of truth?

22 Wherefore, he that preacheth and he that receiveth, understand one another, and both are edified and rejoice together.

23 And that which doth not edify is not of God, and is darkness.

Give each number of people we count an identity and a name.

Make great people better.

1 Nephi 10:17 - know of these by the gift…

17 And it came to pass after I, Nephi, having heard all the words of my father, concerning the things which he saw in a vision, and also the things which he spake by the power of the Holy Ghost, which power he received by faith on the Son of God—and the Son of God was the Messiah who should come—I, Nephi, was desirous also that I might see, and hear, and know of these things, by the power of the Holy Ghost, which is the gift of God unto all those who diligently seek him, as well in times of old as in the time that he should manifest himself unto the children of men.

1 Nephi 11:1

17 And it came to pass after I, Nephi, having heard all the words of my father, concerning the things which he saw in a vision, and also the things which he spake by the power of the Holy Ghost, which power he received by faith on the Son of God—and the Son of God was the Messiah who should come—I, Nephi, was desirous also that I might see, and hear, and know of these things, by the power of the Holy Ghost, which is the gift of God unto all those who diligently seek him, as well in times of old as in the time that he should manifest himself unto the children of men.

Next Speaker

“Likewise, the stakes of Zion are “a refuge from the storm” because they are led by those who hold priesthood keys and exercise priesthood authority. As you continue to follow the counsel of those whom the Lord has authorized to guide you, you will feel greater safety.” (President Russell M. Nelson, “Embrace the Future with Faith”, General Conference October 2020)

Next Speaker

“God knows all things, the end from the beginning, and no man becomes president of the church of Jesus Christ by accident, or remains there by chance, or is called home by happenstance.” (President Ezra Taft Benson, "Jesus Christ—

Gifts and Expectations", New Era May 1975)

The thing that President Nelson talks the most about, is receiving personal revelation.

Mosiah 18:19

19 And he commanded them that they should teach nothing save it were the things which he had taught, and which had been spoken by the mouth of the holy prophets.

Dnc 46:2

2 But notwithstanding those things which are written, it always has been given to the elders of my church from the beginning, and ever shall be, to conduct all meetings as they are directed and guided by the Holy Spirit.

Saturday Evening Session of Stake Conference

First Speaker

“Worthy music is powerful. It has the power to make us humble, prayerful, and grateful. Prophets through all generations have taught the importance of worthy music in our expressions of worship.“ (Elder Russell M. Nelson(, “The Power and Protection of Worthy Music”, Ensign December 2009)

“… Latter-day Saints should fill their homes with the sound of worthy music. …

“Hymns can also help us withstand the temptations of the adversary. We encourage you to memorize your favorite hymns and study the scriptures that relate to them. Then, if unworthy thoughts enter your mind, sing a hymn to yourself, crowding out the evil with the good.” (Hymns, ix–x.)

Next Speaker

DnC 93

28 He that keepeth his commandments receiveth truth and light, until he is glorified in truth and knoweth all things.

29 Man was also in the beginning with God. Intelligence, or the light of truth, was not created or made, neither indeed can be.

Next Speaker

She spoke of having had bad experiences with missionaries being pushy. She came out of it recently when the missionaries came over, not to troll for names of her friends, but to genuinely build a relationship with her family.

Next Speaker

Jacob 5

72 And it came to pass that the servants did go and labor with their mights; and the Lord of the vineyard labored also with them; and they did obey the commandments of the Lord of the vineyard in all things.

Next Speaker

1975 - the first mission was established in Utah. That must be why the mission field being somewhere outside Utah is so ingrained in the culture here.

Next Speaker

Carry a prayer in your heart to do good and be a minister.

Next Speaker

2 Nephi 25:26

26 And we talk of Christ, we rejoice in Christ, we preach of Christ, we prophesy of Christ, and we write according to our prophecies, that our children may know to what source they may look for a remission of their sins.

Next Speaker

The Lord provides a way when we put forth effort. The Lord can and will do his own work.

"Yes, life has its problems, and yes, there are negative things to face, but please accept one of Elder Holland’s maxims for living—no misfortune is so bad that whining about it won’t make it worse." (Jeffrey R. Holland, “The Tongue of Angels”, )

Next Speaker

President Nelson is very sensitive to contention.

Our temple is coming.

Our society is becoming way too casual.

Does your discipleship supersede everything else?

"The Savior’s atoning sacrifice—the central act of all human history—is best understood and appreciated when we expressly and clearly connect it to Him." - Nelson

1-16-22

Sunday Morning Session of Stake Conference

First Speaker

Dnc 110 - Sealing powers conferred on Joseph and Oliver

DnC 110:16

16 Therefore, the keys of this dispensation are committed into your hands; and by this ye may know that the great and dreadful day of the Lord is near, even at the doors.

“If nothing else came out of all of the sorrow and travail and pain of the restoration than the sealing power of the holy priesthood to bind together families forever, it would have been worth all that it has cost.” (Gordon B. Hinckley, “As One Who Loves the Prophet,” in Susan Easton Black and Charles D. Tate Jr., eds., Joseph Smith: The Prophet, the Man (1993), 6.)

DnC 131:1-4

1 In the celestial glory there are three heavens or degrees;

2 And in order to obtain the highest, a man must enter into this order of the priesthood [meaning the new and everlasting covenant of marriage];

3 And if he does not, he cannot obtain it.

4 He may enter into the other, but that is the end of his kingdom; he cannot have an increase.

Next Speaker

Doing work in the temple not only helps us feel joy, but also those we do work for.

Next Speaker

“My dear brothers and sisters, these are the latter days.  If you and I are to withstand the forthcoming perils and pressures, it is imperative that we each have a firm spiritual foundation built upon the rock of our Redeemer, Jesus Christ.

So I ask each of you, “How firm is your foundation and what reinforcements to your testimony and understanding of the gospel are needed?” …

Everything taught in the temple, through instruction and through the Spirit, increases our understanding of Jesus Christ. His essential ordinances bind us to Him through sacred priesthood covenants. Then as we keep our covenants, He endows us with His healing, strengthening power.  And, oh, how we will need His power in the days ahead.

We have been promised that if we are prepared, we shall not fear. This assurance has profound implications today.  The Lord has declared that despite today’s unprecedented challenges, those who build their foundations upon Jesus Christ and have learned to draw upon His power need not succumb to the unique anxieties of this era. (President Russell M. Nelson, October 2021 General Conference)

“Under the Lord’s direction and in answer to our prayers, recent procedural adjustments have been made. He is the One who wants you to understand with great clarity exactly what you are making covenants to do.” (President Russell M Nelson, “The Temple and Your Spiritual Foundation”, October 2021 General Conference)

Dnc 109:8

8 Organize yourselves; prepare every needful thing, and establish a house, even a house of prayer, a house of fasting, a house of faith, a house of learning, a house of glory, a house of order, a house of God;

As we build on our spiritual foundation, fear will have no place in our homes.

Next Speaker - a couple

Ether 12:7, 12

7 For it was by faith that Christ showed himself unto our fathers, after he had risen from the dead; and he showed not himself unto them until after they had faith in him; wherefore, it must needs be that some had faith in him, for he showed himself not unto the world.

12 For if there be no faith among the children of men God can do no miracle among them; wherefore, he showed not himself until after their faith.

“When I think of the great need for senior missionaries, I always think of that beloved hymn ‘I’ll Go Where You Want Me to Go’ (Hymns, no. 270) and its message, ‘I’ll be what you want me to be.’” (Elder Dallin H. Oaks of the Quorum of the Twelve Apostles)

“Our message to all of our mature couples is simple: we dearly need you. We are doing everything we can to make it as convenient as possible for you to go. … The times cry out for it. There are people who need you. Please—go.” (Elder Jeffrey R. Holland of the Quorum of the Twelve Apostles, Deseret News, Sept. 14, 2011.)

“The truth is, no senior missionary finds it convenient to leave home. Neither did Joseph Smith, Brigham Young, John Taylor, or Wilford Woodruff. They had children and grandchildren too, and they loved their families just as we do. But they also loved the Lord and wanted to serve Him. Someday we may meet these stalwarts who helped to establish this dispensation. When we do, we will rejoice that we did not seek the shadows when we should have served.” (President Russell M Nelson, “Senior Missionary Moments”,  April 2016 Ensign)

“Now, to those who were not able to serve a mission in their youth, may I speak directly to you. Perhaps over the years you have been burdened by feelings of regret or felt less than adequate because you did not have a missionary opportunity to serve and grow when you were younger. My advice to you: look forward, not back. Begin preparing for your mission as a senior missionary couple today! Save a little money each month. Study the scriptures. Accept Church callings. Pray to feel the Lord’s love for others and receive His love and confidence in you. You can one day claim all the blessings of missionary service!” (Elder Robert D Hales, “Couple Missionaries:”, April 2005 General Conference)

“We encourage mission presidents to seek out couples to meet needs in their missions. Bishops should seek out couples who could serve. ChurchofJesusChrist.org lists pages and pages of opportunities for senior couples. But most of all, couples might get on their knees and ask Heavenly Father if the time is right for them to serve a mission together. Of all the qualifications, a desire to serve may be the most important (seeD&C 4:3).” ((President Russell M Nelson, “Senior Missionary Moments”,  April 2016 Ensign))

Doctrine and Covenants 4:3

3 Therefore, if ye have desires to serve God ye are called to the work;

Next Speaker

The stake president called us all to serve a mission and set a date when we will be ready to serve.

“Every woman and every man who makes covenants with God and keeps those covenants, and who participates worthily in priesthood ordinances, has direct access to the power of God. Those who are endowed in the house of the Lord receive a gift of God’s priesthood power by virtue of their covenant, along with a gift of knowledge to know how to draw upon that power.” (President Russell M. Nelson, “Spiritual Treasures”, October 2019 General Conference)

“The ordinances of salvation and exaltation administered in the Lord’s restored Church are far more than rituals or symbolic performances. Rather, they constitute authorized channels through which the blessings and powers of heaven can flow into our individual lives.”(Elder David A. Bednar, “Always Retain a Remission of Your Sins”, April 2016 General Conference)

Doctrine and Covenants 84:19

19 And this greater priesthood administereth the gospel and holdeth the key of the mysteries of the kingdom, even the key of the knowledge of God.

Mosiah 18:8-10
8 And it came to pass that he said unto them: Behold, here are the waters of Mormon (for thus were they called) and now, as ye are desirous to come into the fold of God, and to be called his people, and are willing to bear one another’s burdens, that they may be light;

9 Yea, and are willing to mourn with those that mourn; yea, and comfort those that stand in need of comfort, and to stand as witnesses of God at all times and in all things, and in all places that ye may be in, even until death, that ye may be redeemed of God, and be numbered with those of the first resurrection, that ye may have eternal life—

10 Now I say unto you, if this be the desire of your hearts, what have you against being baptized in the name of the Lord, as a witness before him that ye have entered into a covenant with him, that ye will serve him and keep his commandments, that he may pour out his Spirit more abundantly upon you?

Sacrament Service

First Speaker

Spiritual Fundamentals

The more we practice prayer, the better we get at it.

Next Speaker

“...we are a question-asking people because we know that inquiry leads to truth. That is the way the Church got its start—from a young man who had questions. In fact, I’m not sure how one can discover truth without asking questions. In the scriptures you will rarely discover a revelation that didn’t come in response to a question.

“Inquiry is the birthplace of testimony. ” (President Dieter F Uchtdorf,  “The Reflection in the Water” [Church Educational System fireside address, Nov. 1, 2009], LDS.org).

DnC 112:10

10 Be thou humble; and the Lord thy God shall lead thee by the hand, and give thee answer to thy prayers.

“Though I suffered then, as I look back now, I am grateful that there was not a quick solution to my problem. The fact that I was forced to turn to God for help almost daily over an extended period of years taught me truly how to pray and get answers to prayer and taught me in a very practical way to have faith in God. I came to know my Savior and my Heavenly Father in a way and to a degree that might not have happened otherwise or that might have taken me much longer to achieve. … I learned to trust in the Lord with all my heart. I learned to walk with Him day by day.”(D. Todd Christofferson, “Give Us This Day Our Daily Bread” (Church Educational System fireside, Jan. 9, 2011), lds.org/broadcasts.)

Moses 1:18

18 And again Moses said: I will not cease to call upon God, I have other things to inquire of him: for his glory has been upon me, wherefore I can judge between him and thee. Depart hence, Satan.

Next Speaker

“Those who serve with devotion, even when things don’t turn out the way they would like, are not easily discouraged, fatigued, or frustrated because the promise of peace of mind and the companionship of the Holy Spirit will never abandon them.”

“Those who serve will strive to ennoble, build, and lift their fellowmen; therefore, they will find the good in others, and they will not find reason or have time to become offended. They develop the virtue of praying for those who criticize. They don’t expect recognition or reward. They possess the love of Christ.”

“Those who serve will accept their assignments with humility, recognizing their limitations but convinced that two people can do all things they propose to do as long as one of the two people is God.” (Elder Carlos H. Amado, “Service, a Divine Quality”, April 2008 General Conference)

Elders Quorum

36 ¶ And one of the Pharisees desired him that he would eat with him. And he went into the Pharisee’s house, and sat down to meat.

37 And, behold, a woman in the city, which was a sinner, when she knew that Jesus sat at meat in the Pharisee’s house, brought an alabaster box of ointment,

38 And stood at his feet behind him weeping, and began to wash his feet with tears, and did wipe them with the hairs of her head, and kissed his feet, and anointed them with the ointment.

39 Now when the Pharisee which had bidden him saw it, he spake within himself, saying, This man, if he were a prophet, would have known who and what manner of woman this is that toucheth him: for she is a sinner.

40 And Jesus answering said unto him, Simon, I have somewhat to say unto thee. And he saith, Master, say on.

41 There was a certain creditor which had two debtors: the one owed five hundred pence, and the other fifty.

42 And when they had nothing to pay, he frankly forgave them both. Tell me therefore, which of them will love him most?

43 Simon answered and said, I suppose that he, to whom he forgave most. And he said unto him, Thou hast rightly judged.

44 And he turned to the woman, and said unto Simon, Seest thou this woman? I entered into thine house, thou gavest me no water for my feet: but she hath washed my feet with tears, and wiped them with the hairs of her head.

45 Thou gavest me no kiss: but this woman since the time I came in hath not ceased to kiss my feet.

46 My head with oil thou didst not anoint: but this woman hath anointed my feet with ointment.

47 Wherefore I say unto thee, Her sins, which are many, are forgiven; for she loved much: but to whom little is forgiven, the same loveth little.

48 And he said unto her, Thy sins are forgiven.

The savior forgave the sins of the woman. He mentioned nothing of forgiving Simon's sins.

Duty is done out of obligation and not necessarily out of love.

The hymn “Have I Done Any Good” names duty and love together, but as two different things.:
Then wake up and do something more

Than dream of your mansion above.

Doing good is a pleasure, a joy beyond measure,

A blessing of duty and love.”

See a need and try to do something.

When someone cuts us off in traffic, can we come up with a righteous excuse for what they did, rather than getting angry?

“Unlike you and me, Christ is capable of clearly seeing all facets of a given situation. Even knowing all our weaknesses as He does, the Savior does not rashly condemn us but continues to work with us compassionately over time, helping us to remove the beam from our eye. Jesus always looks on the heart and not on the appearance.”
