The house or tribes of Israel scattered into the northern kingdoms and southern kingdom (Judah and Benjamin).
Eventually, anciently the twelve tribes of Israel were scattered all over the earth, including to America.
John 10:14-16
14 I am the good shepherd, and know my sheep, and am known of mine.
15 As the Father knoweth me, even so know I the Father: and I lay down my life for the sheep.
16 And other sheep I have, which are not of this fold: them also I must bring, and they shall hear my voice; and there shall be one fold, and one shepherd.
Doctrine and Covenants 110:11
11 After this vision closed, the heavens were again opened unto us; and Moses appeared before us, and committed unto us the keys of the gathering of Israel from the four parts of the earth, and the leading of the ten tribes from the land of the north.
Spiritual gathering is missionary work. Physical gathering is people physically moving.
Sometimes the gathering has been to one place and sometimes it has been where we currently live. This allows the people to draw strength from each other.

Godly Sorrow vs Guilt
Both can cause similar pain, Godly sorrow has a feeling of love with it. Perhaps love for those you have wronged. Perhaps love which compels you to be better,
1 Corinthians 3:3
3 Forasmuch as ye are manifestly declared to be the epistle of Christ ministered by us, written not with ink, but with the Spirit of the living God; not in tables of stone, but in fleshy tables of the heart.
Tables of stone are difficult to carry around. Even our scriptures today are difficult to have physically with us always. If we have them memorized and/or incorporated into our character then they are of more value to and more often with us.
The Old Testament is about the old covenant, which is why there is not a lot of record there about times when the people had the full gospel.
The Corinthians were so busy reading the old covenant that they were having trouble comprehending the new covenant and new things God had to share with them.
Are we so caught up in what God said to people long ago that we miss what he is saying to us?
Joseph Smith Translation of Galatians 3:19-20
19 Wherefore then, the law was added because of transgressions, till the seed should come to whom the promise was made in the law given to Moses, who was ordained by the hand of angels to be a mediator of this first covenant, (the law.)
20 Now this mediator was not a mediator of the new covenant; but there is one mediator of the new covenant, who is Christ, as it is written in the law concerning the promises made to Abraham and his seed. Now Christ is the mediator of life; for this is the promise which God made unto Abraham.
Moses was the mediator of the old covenant. We do not gain salvation through Moses.
Sacrament Service
Missionary that returned recently from the Budapest Hungary missionary spoke to us.
In 1899 a missionary went to Hungary, but was banished.
He said that in 1987 there was a meeting with Hungary government officials. In June of 1988 Hungary granted legal recognition to the church.
The Book of Mormon was first published in Hugarian in 1991.
Currently there are approximately 6000 members in Hungary.
Are we in the calm water or the fast water? A fish in fast water has to make decisions quickly and may make a bad decision.
We should stay out of places and situations where we could make bad choices or have to make dangerous choices too quickly.
Are we spending our money on things that we don't need?
Weber Heights Stake Standards Night
Scott Sessions spoke to the youth. He seemed to know everyone in the room. Some he had in institute class. Some he was related to. I think he was even related to our bishop. He said that he never knew his first name. He always just called him Boomer.
We sit around and gripe about others, but don't reflect enough on what we should change about ourselves.
What if every sin had a distinctive smell like smoking does? What would pornography smell like? What would not doing your home teaching smell like? We all stink.
Revelation 3:21
21 To him that overcometh will I grant to sit with me in my throne, even as I also overcame, and am set down with my Father in his throne.
How many Ferraris does heavenly father own? All of them. Everything.
God's rewards are like baked Alaska. Satan's counterfeits are like baked Alaska made with manure in the middle instead of ice cream.
Too busy means under Satan's yoke.
Ye are the temple of god, but you are also the temple president. You are responsible for it.
You are a child of god. He is a king and what are the children of a king called?
Have you told you face today that you are happy?
Matthew 5: 48
48 Be ye therefore perfect, even as your Father which is in heaven is perfect.
3 Nephi 12:48
48 Therefore I would that ye should be perfect even as I, or your Father who is in heaven is perfect.
Jesus didn't claim perfection until after his resurrection, so why are we so hard on ourselves for not bring perfect? The account in Matthew was while he was on earth. The account in 3 Nephi 12 is after he was resurrected.
