“When we realize that we are children of the covenant, we know who we are and what God expects of us.” (Elder Russell M. Nelson, “Covenants”, October 2011 General Conference)
“You're falling into a trap that I want everybody in this room to avoid. And that is: ‘God must not love me if I suffer. I must be being penalized if I suffer.’ Can you see the danger of thinking that way? Every person I know in this book [The Bible] suffers. Peter who was crucified upside down. James the first Christian martyr from the New Testament. Paul beheaded. Now does God like Peter and James and John and Paul and Isaiah and Ezekiel and Jeremiah and Daniel? Prophets of captivity. Prophets of persecution. Prophets of trouble and trials of every kind. Who suffered more than anyone in time or eternity that we know of? The living Son of the Living God. The only perfect child who ever lived. Don't ever, please, please, do not fall victim to the temptation to say, ‘well I guess God doesn't love me’, because what on Earth would that say about His love for His Only Begotten Son?” (Elder Jeffery R Holland, From a Q & A session in 2012)

DnC 35
24 Keep all the commandments and covenants by which ye are bound; and I will cause the heavens to shake for your good, and Satan shall tremble and Zion shall rejoice upon the hills and flourish;
Matthew 19
20 The young man saith unto him, All these things have I kept from my youth up: what lack I yet?
21 Jesus said unto him, If thou wilt be perfect, go and sell that thou hast, and give to the poor, and thou shalt have treasure in heaven: and come and follow me.
The footnotes suggest that "perfect" in this context means committed.
Mosiah 18
8 And it came to pass that he said unto them: Behold, here are the waters of Mormon (for thus were they called) and now, as ye are desirous to come into the fold of God, and to be called his people, and are willing to bear one another’s burdens, that they may be light;
9 Yea, and are willing to mourn with those that mourn; yea, and comfort those that stand in need of comfort, and to stand as witnesses of God at all times and in all things, and in all places that ye may be in, even until death, that ye may be redeemed of God, and be numbered with those of the first resurrection, that ye may have eternal life
{
Reminds me a bit of the sacrament prayers and being “willing” to take upon us the name of the Son.

“Before the earth was created, God established covenants as the mechanism by which we, His children, could unite ourselves to Him.” (Elder Dale G. Renlund, “Accessing God’s Power through Covenants”, April 2023 General Conference)
“My dear brothers and sisters, here is my promise. Nothing will help you more to hold fast to the iron rod than worshipping in the temple as regularly as your circumstances permit. Nothing will protect you more as you encounter the world’s mists of darkness. Nothing will bolster your testimony of the Lord Jesus Christ and His Atonement or help you understand God’s magnificent plan more. Nothing will soothe your spirit more during times of pain. Nothing will open the heavens more.” (President Russell M. Nelson, “Rejoice in the Gift of Priesthood Keys”, April 2024 General Conference)
1 Nephi 14
14 And it came to pass that I, Nephi, beheld the power of the Lamb of God, that it descended upon the saints of the church of the Lamb, and upon the covenant people of the Lord, who were scattered upon all the face of the earth; and they were armed with righteousness and with the power of God in great glory.

We live, and are going to continue to live in challenging times. God already knew and planned for it.
Romans 8
31 What shall we then say to these things? If God be for us, who can be against us?
Elders Quorum
Lesson based on Gary E. Stevenson - Days Never to Be Forgotten and Jorge M. Alvarado - Embrace the Lord’s Gift of Repentance
Things are going to move quickly in the next 10 years.
Ezekiel 47 talks about water flowing from the temple and healing the land.
“In 2034, thousands of dignitaries, visitors, and athletes from around the world will flood the streets of Salt Lake City, the stage for the Winter Olympic Games. There is perhaps no greater demonstration of worldwide unity than that embodied in the Olympic Games. The eyes of the world will be upon the Church and its members, affording a multitude of opportunities to volunteer, serve, and share glad tidings through kind deeds—an event never to be forgotten.
“These upcoming moments will provide members of the Church everywhere with increased opportunities to share the glad tidings of the gospel of Jesus Christ through word and deed, a decade never to be forgotten.” (Elder Stevenson)
“reach out in compassion to care for those in need. Your generation is unusually mindful of the less fortunate. Whenever disaster strikes and Church members rush to help clear away debris and comfort the afflicted, it seems the majority wearing ‘Helping Hands’ T-shirts are teenagers and twentysomethings. It is in your nature “to bear one another’s burdens” and ‘comfort those that stand in need of comfort.’ By doing this we ‘fulfil the law of Christ.’”
“As we diligently seek to have charity and virtue fill our lives, our confidence in approaching God will increase. I invite you to take intentional steps to grow in your confidence before the Lord.” (President Russell M. Nelson, “Confidence in the Presence of God”, April 2025 General Conference)
