Psalms 27:1
1 The Lord is my light and my salvation; whom shall I fear? the Lord is the strength of my life; of whom shall I be afraid?
Sacrament Service
First Speaker
A missionary that returned in the last year from the Chili Concepcion South Mission spoke to us.
DnC 58:42-43
42 Behold, he who has repented of his sins, the same is forgiven, and I, the Lord, remember them no more.
43 By this ye may know if a man repenteth of his sins—behold, he will confess them and forsake them.
Next Speaker
“It is extremely hurtful for any man holding the Priesthood, and enjoying the gift of the Holy Ghost, to harbor a spirit of envy, or malice, or retaliation, or intolerance toward or against his fellowmen.” (Joseph F Smith, Gospel Doctrine, 255–56)
A forgiving heart remembers that we are all in need of forgiveness.
The sabbath should be a change from the rest of the week.
“When trust is betrayed, dreams shattered, hearts broken and broken again, when we want justice and need mercy, when our fists clench and our tears flow, when we need to know what to hold onto and what to let go of, we can always remember Him.” (Gerrit W. Gong, “Always Remember Him,” Liahona, May 2016, 109)
