“We don't have to be perfect today. We don't have to be better than someone else. All we have to do is to be the very best we can.” - Elder Joseph B Wirthlin
Hymn #3 - Now Let Us Rejoice and The Spirit of God were both sung at the dedication of the Kirtland temple to the same tune. W W Phelps wrote the words to this hymn at a time of defeat, frustration, homelessness and suffering for the saints. It reminds us that even in the worst of times we can remove as we “watch for the day when the Savior will come.”

Joshua 24:15
15 And if it seem evil unto you to serve the Lord, choose you this day whom ye will serve; whether the gods which your fathers served that were on the other side of the flood, or the gods of the Amorites, in whose land ye dwell: but as for me and my house, we will serve the Lord.
If you start early in the morning doing what the Lord wants you to do, then the tone is set for the rest of the day.

Matthew 7
28 And it came to pass, when Jesus had ended these sayings, the people were astonished at his doctrine:
29 For he taught them as one having authority, and not as the scribes.
The teachers of Jesus day taught by reading the scriptures out loud or reading the laws built on tradition.
Jesus taught doctrines and principles commenting on scriptures every so often.
Blessed are they that mourn. Mourning had to do with having godly sorrow.
Christianity is about being able to love those that believe differently than you and people that are “unlovable”.
3 Nephi 12
47 Old things are done away, and all things have become new.
48 Therefore I would that ye should be perfect even as I, or your Father who is in heaven is perfect.
Life is not about what you can obtain, but about what you can become.
Intelligence is our capacity. As we gain more knowledge and wisdom we expand our capacity or our intelligence.
