Sacrament Service
First Speaker
A sister that just returned from a mission to the Philippines spoke to us.
2 Timothy 1:7
7 For God hath not given us the spirit of fear; but of power, and of love, and of a sound mind.
Alma and his brethren never complained, but praised God.
We should praise God for our challenges and especially for his strength to help us through them.
DnC 6
34 Therefore, fear not, little flock; do good; let earth and hell combine against you, for if ye are built upon my rock, they cannot prevail.
Is the Gospel everything to us?
2 Corinthians 1:3-4
3 Blessed be God, even the Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of mercies, and the God of all comfort;
4 Who comforteth us in all our tribulation, that we may be able to comfort them which are in any trouble, by the comfort wherewith we ourselves are comforted of God.
Testimonies From Our Outgoing RS Presidency Counselors
Dnc 19:23
23 Learn of me, and listen to my words; walk in the meekness of my Spirit, and you shall have peace in me.
Next Speaker
Alma 28:8
8 And this is the account of Ammon and his brethren, their journeyings in the land of Nephi, their sufferings in the land, their sorrows, and their afflictions, and their incomprehensible joy, and the reception and safety of the brethren in the land of Jershon. And now may the Lord, the Redeemer of all men, bless their souls forever.
Elders Quorum
We have General Conference every six months, because they tell us things we need to know at this point in history.
Bad things will happen to everyone. How will you choose to let them impact you? How will you choose to react to them?
As we have challenges, we will be able to testify of how God works.
