Sacrament Service
First Speaker
Phil 4:5-6
5 Let your moderation be known unto all men. The Lord is at hand.
6 Be careful for nothing; but in every thing by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known unto God.
“He marked the path and led the way,
“And ev’ry point defines
“To light and life and endless day
“Where God’s full presence shines.” (Hymn 195, “How Great the Wisdom and the Love”)
2 Nephi 4
18 I am encompassed about, because of the temptations and the sins which do so easily beset me.
19 And when I desire to rejoice, my heart groaneth because of my sins; nevertheless, I know in whom I have trusted.
13th Article of Faith
“We believe in being honest, true, chaste, benevolent, virtuous, and in doing good to all men; indeed, we may say that we follow the admonition of Paul—We believe all things, we hope all things, we have endured many things, and hope to be able to endure all things. If there is anything virtuous, lovely, or of good report or praiseworthy, we seek after these things.”
Next Speaker

“I believe in those ‘exceeding great and precious promises,’ and I invite all within the sound of my voice to claim them. We should strive to ‘be partakers of the divine nature.’ Only then may we truly hope for ‘peace in this world, and eternal life in the world to come’ (D&C 59:23).” (President Howard W. Hunter, “‘Exceeding Great and Precious Promises’”, October 1994 General Conference)
